Fresh produce is carefully selected according to chefs inspiration of the day. Expertly cooked on the spit of our old fireplace. It was once the bread oven where we baked bread for the whole village.

Upon request of our guests, we can organise cooking courses of the regions cuisine. The foie gras is the family’s specialty !

According to the Rabelaisian tradition of this beautiful Loire Valley, all products are selected for their quality, freshness and cooked according to family recipes. The wines of the Loire Valley are also selected from our local wineries and are stored in our vaulted cellar dating back to the twelfth century.

Castle Bournand lies in the middle of Anjou, Saumur, Coteaux du Layon, Saumur Champigny, Chinon, not forgetting the fabulous Crémant de Loire and Saumur Brut known for its sparkling wine. We select the best partners in terms of quality and passion that drives them to produce exceptional food and drink and our partnerships are based on friendships and trust developed over many years.

Upon request, we organise cellar tours and wine tastings.
